I just came up with something along similar lines but different enough. It was how to data mine Twitter, in general. You give excellent advice for people with a field of expertise. If your field is "niche marketing" then there are also ways of data mining Twitter to learn more about ANY of the keyphrases that are on a hot run. Stop by and check mine out when you get a moment.
